Just now, don't want to whisper
or breathe
to break this delicate piece of time.
Don't want to turn
or look away
and know henceforth I'm void of you.
Don't want to hear
an outside noise;
our time is up with that car door chime.
Don't want to speak
the parting words
and bottle hopes I've built round you.
Just now, just want to capture
every
chiseled feature of your handsome face.
Just want to lean
and know
you closely; stroke your skin; gaze into blue.
Just want to hold some
form of hope
and bet against distance and space.
Just want to blink
and know
my eyes will open right to you.
